You should have bought the i7-860. The i5 is more expensive then the Q9550 and doesn't support HT. The i7-860 on the otherhand does, but is not as good as the i7 920. So i5<i7 860<q9550<i7 920

My 2 cents

EDIT: Why are you downgrading from i7 -> i5? Just for review purposes?

Hopefully you got these instead. Their a little better then the ram I said, timmings are Cas 7 instead of 8.

looks good, but i dont like how cluttered the socket is, and i noticed in the video it said bootup Vcore... whats that all about. im interested in that mainly.

the bootup voltages and such basically means what it sounds like, during boot the volts are set to that, and after memory sizing and the power cycling (dont have time to explain) it sets to the eventual voltages, which are what you use in windows. It can help you go that extra mile when you can't post.

remember setfsb?
Once its already in"Strap" you can overclock higher usually, this is where set fsb comes in.. Although, its doing this at boot, rather than in windows.

Also, pics coming of the case and water cooling and stuff.. going i5 when I found a use for the 860. I've got another P55 FTW because of my banks mistake, but I don't know if I can take it back at this point. Maybe I could use it in my other board as a lan rig or something.
