Personally, I just go with a single card that outperforms the previous model. For example later on you could get the HD5870 (which will be released soon), and then sell your HD4870.

I guess I could do the same with 260 and when price drops, buy 285 ...

I'm used to NVIDIA and over years the 9600GT has served me well and I would want to stick with (NVIDIA) if ATI's perfomance isn't better.

Very nice.

May I ask what's your CPU's Vcore?

And is the 1306 BIOS somewhat different/better?

Back in 10 hours.

4GHz is def possible for that quad, and DO NOT skimp out on your PSU, get the 750, in case you want to expand later (you never know)
I would go with the gtx 275, for the price its very very good, and can Overclock to 800MHz core, a bit noisy though.

Make sure you get some good cooling if you want to run 4ghz 24/7 though.

Good you don't know how small my LCD is ...

The 4870 is better than 260. The 4890 which is best bang for buck between $200-$240 is close to GTX280. I own these 2 cards(280/4890) and they benchmark very closely.

450 generic PSU, they add that in "just in case" i'm pretty sure that PSU would run it no problem, if you feel like you need more input, go to the PSU section

Very interesting recommendation, the 4890 is 20 bucks more than 260 and 4870 is 20 bucks less (in Estonia) but I guess the 4890 is worth it?

4890>260>4870?

I'm sorry.

I just read the Support ... and BAM! posted a thread here.

I'll try to change myself, but first the PC.
