I'm no fanboy, but if you have A P45/X48 etc you should use ATI, it just makes sense. Pick up a 58xx when released, or go for bargain power on 4870s/4890s once prices drop.
An E0 stepping Q9550 and good HSF will go a long way, obviously a TRUE or Megahalems will be great, but even a Xiggy DK would do quite nicely. I'd also agree with going for 1066 over 800 since you'll likely have to knock the RAM back a bit for a very high OC.

Uh, oh, I have my eye (actually both of them) on Crucial 4GB (2x2GB) 8500 memory, but it isn't in the QVL of P5Q Pro.
__________________The 800MHz is on the list, but 1066 not. Should I look for Corsair, OZC, G.Skill or try the Crucial first? Why Crucial, you ask? Because it's 20-40 bucks cheaper and should (not sure) run as good as others. Damn, I'm just looking for a good RAM!
