$1000 budget for i7 is hard if you needed to buy the monitor as well, and the GPU is not gonna be in one of the top best one. I did a $900 build but i didn't need the monitor, i also got my NIB mobo for increadible price of $130 (was very lucky on the deal). And for that $900, i didn't have money for the CPU cooler until last week Xoxide had some dirt cheap cooler on sale.

$1000 is easy. You should look around at what others have put together for the same price...

Might want to give up a few extra bucks for a 4870 and a bigger hard drive, but this is an alright build.
