Default Pictures from my first build, B.F.C. (phase 1)

Keep in mind this is my first time building a computer so I might not do things "professionally" and I'll probably skip a step or something in my picture log... But please comment and let me know what you think about the build. +Rep to the first person who gets what B.F.C means!

About a month ago I came into some money and decided it was time to upgrade my computer set up and finally get a tower! I had been using a Gateway FX 6831 laptop with an external display for over a year to game and do general computer things (edit pictures, torrent, etc.). I have intermediate computer experience and felt like it was time to build something for myself... Imagine walking into Micro Center and buying [just about] every piece you've been wanting for months... I did just that! lol

The Parts:

~The Build~

Mounting the Power supply:

Onto the MoBo, Classified x58:

some people said it was overkill, along with the 1000w PSU too, but I think they were good investments for future expansion

This is after mounting the back plate:

Sexy:

Next comes the chip:

i7 920

Now, when installing the Megahalem's bracket don't do this:

notice where the holes are by the screws... I didn't read the instructions and put them on backwards :S

Put them on like this!:

note the thermal paste...

Then it's finally time to install this Behemoth of a heatsink:

Install complete:

I started with just one blue cooler master LED fan and then later installed 2 red LED fans, you'll see

**Note the Megahalem's touches the NB heatsink:

In goes the RAM and the MoBo!:

What a mess :

In goes the 2 GTX 260's :

These things are huge:

Wire everything and prepare for testing!:

Rewire everything to look better!!:

"Done":

*Trash:

**2nd fan for Push/Pull:

**The "finished product" after a fan controller install, another rewire, and a neon upgrade:

Very quite actually! It surprised me how quite all 6 fans run. The loudest part is the GPU fan's (8 fan's I guess :P), those I adjust manually.
