Default Thinking about doing a i7
So i just want to know wat you think of wat im thinking of.

Bloodrage or rampage2 <---help pick pro and cons if you know any
core i7 860
Ram i need help i was looking at
CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

and for gpu idk yet rite now im looking at the new ati

isn't the 860 an lga 1156 socket chip? What type of cooling are you getting.

uh.... that i7 860 will not fit into either mobos because its a 1156.

The i7 920 1366 will fit into the bloodrage.

Fyi, there are two types of i7: 1366 (x58) and 1156 (p55).

The BloodRage and Rampage II Extreme motherboards both use LGA1366. You cannot physically fit an i7 860 into them as the CPU uses LGA1156. Even if the CPU could fit, the memory controller wouldn't be compatible with the DDR3 RAM used on those motherboards.

The bloodrage is a great board. Go with that if your gonna get i7 920. Then you could possible get a GTX 285, or a 4870X2. They are both great. You'll see a great performance increase. The RAM is okay. You could find something just as good for cheaper. Once I get back from my baseball practice I'll give you a link.
