Yea but I get a powerful Core 2 Quad in place of a cheap E7300 Core 2 duo. 6gb ddr2 in place of 2gb ddr2. 750 gb in place of 500gb. Thats my point. Pre builts are usually cheaper. If it doesnt work then switch it out for another. If you build your own and it doesnt work its a waste and you dont get a refund.

AMD is not better than Intel in some ways and is better in other ways. Intel is better than AMD in some ways and worse than AMD in others.

I can understand why you want a prebuilt over building one yourself. I had a build go so horribly bad one time that I stopped putting money into it and bought a Velocity Micro. Of the 2 links that still work, neither of them will be very good for gaming as they are both onboard graphics. If I were to buy a PC from Best Buy right now it would be this one.

Edit:

Forgot to add. Do not kid yourself into believing that prebuilts are cheaper and better quality. In almost all cases its the other way around. You are paying for the convenience and the warranty of a prebuilt

You do get a refund if something doesn't work when you build yourself.. you even get a longer warranty on the majority of components, for example - i think i have a 3 year warranty on my motherboard, 7 year warranty on the power supply - 2 or 3 on the GPU's. Whereas on a standard pre-built PC, you'll get a 1, maybe 2 year warranty on the whole system.

As for pre-built being cheaper, i've always found the opposite on gaming pc's. Always. :\

This

I also recomend buying from newegg, as they are much cheaper then best buy

The only thing you pay for is convience for prebuilts. They have a worse warenty then good quality components of a self built computer. For example, my cousin fried a hard drive because of the power supply, and corsair sent him a new power supply and credit (on newegg i think) for a new hard drive.
