Halifax1's Untitled Intel Core i5 Project Hey guys, this is my new Intel Core i5 machine that I have built on NewEgg.com, and is currently on it's way to me. I sold my MacBook, and this is partially what I got with the money from that sell. I hope to be pleased with it, as I have been dying to have a new system to be built and upgrade as I see fit. I spend a very long time picking out what I wanted, and although there are some differences that I could have gone with, I am hoping it will suit me well and provide me with a better gaming experience than what my MacBook did. I came from a MacBook, so I believe this is a great investment and will be of great use to me. For now, here is the parts list, and I will update this post as soon as I have the parts at my door. I will keep it updated via bumps of the build progress, and show off the parts as soon as I have them. I really hope it will be a great machine for me! Thanks for looking! Ordered Parts List: Antec 300 Illusion Mid ATX Case Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 CPU MSI P55-CD53 LGA 1156 ATX Motherboard ASUS Radeon HD 4870 1GB Dark Knight Cooling GPU Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) RAM Rosewill Green Series RG530-2 530W PSU WD Caviar Green 500GB SATA HDD Lite-On CD/DVD Burner I did not order a new cooler, since I was told the one I was going to get was not that great for i5 so I will be waiting until I pick out a better one. For now I will be using the stock cooler with a brand new syringe of Tuniq TX-2. I will update this when I get the parts in, and I hope you guys are fairly impressed with the items I picked out. ![]() I hope none of it arrives DOA. I really really really hope not.

I am definitely planning on it. I went ahead and created this since I might not be on much until it arrives as I will be shipping my MacBook out soon.
I'm hoping it works out well! I decided on the Antec 300 despite not liking Antec much compared to the CM 690 as I think the simplistic factor of the Antec 300 won be over. I'm hoping it's a great case since I liked my 900, but I liked my HAF much more.
