Ya they are imo... it's weird though once you get one it may not seem that amazing, until you go back to using a spindle drive. My computer shuts down so quickly and starts up so quickly (~10 sec total)... and once its started I can pop open Chrome just about immediately, even with anti-virus + other start up apps loading. I'm not a huge gamer but I load DotA in 3.3 seconds (bragging rights only as you have to wait for everyone else to load anyways lol).

I gotta find the person who told me if I was buying a SSD..to get the newer ones with the 128(128mb I believe) Samsung controllers. Any reason why?

Mmmm... better memory than some of the others probably... but I think what he said was that you need to buy a drive with an Indilinx controller. Older SSDs that aren't Indilinx would stutter, which is a huge problem. The best SSDs though are the Intel X25M G2's (which use their own controller), and they aren't that much more expensive at all.

Make sure to get Windows 7 as well... I think it's the only one that's going to get TRIM support (might be wrong here). TRIM is very important as it ensures your drive won't lose performance as it gets filled. Newer Indilinx drives and the X25M G2 have the TRIM ability, though the official driver isn't out yet (coming very soon I believe).

Just an FYI but don't buy this at newegg. They have the X25M G2's horribly overpriced right now. It was worse when they came out, asking like $600 for an 80GB drive that is really like $230 MSRP. Right now the 160GB is $610, when it should really be ~$450... they are getting away with it though because they are somewhat hard to find right now as there is quite a bit of demand for em.

a 500 would be more then enough for your setup
im just looking at money saving sections that well let yoy spend more on the performance products

Much appreciated... Today is the last day I can get the 1050w psu for $250 /w a MIR of $80. What do you guys say? Jump on this future proof PSU... or not worry about a MIR coming in...and pay 200ish for a 850hx corsair?

Thanks for the heads up, and I think $610 is a lot of money for a hd. I understand games will load faster, but I can wait 10 seconds. The thing is, will it help reduce lag in games while playing (enough for me not to consider 3x HDs in raid 5?

You should definitely not get a headSET. What you should get are headphones. Headphones are always better quality than headsets.

If you're gaming, get Sennheiser HD555s or AD700s.

Otherwise, your build looks awesome, but I'd like to see some P6T action.

Oh damn, that's where I fouled up.. I can easily get those attachable microphones, because I like to communicate in FPS games. What's more important is sound quality, and comfort!

500 might be pushing it but a quality 650 should be fine. Unless you plan on running multiple GPUs then 650 should be good. The Seasonic X Series has gotten rave reviews and should be nothing less than spectacular. I'd buy it right now if I had the money: 650 watt version for $180. You can get the 750 watt version for $200 but it's ETA is 10/20. Though these are newegg prices which tend to be marked up for brand new awesome products...

You could also save a lot of money by getting a 5850 which has only 10-15% less performance than the 5870.

You also might want to wait for the MSI Big Bang to come out as then we will know whether or not the Lucent Hydra technology is for real. The Hydra tech will supposedly allow you to run multiple GPUs and actually gain close to twice the performance for two, instead of 50% for today's Crossfire/etc. systems.
