well, you will need a processor. :-P

also, i would reccomend going with a newer socket. 775 is dying. it will cost a bit more, but gives you upgrade ability.

also, you can save a little money by getting an 850w psu. it should be enough. (also consider a better brand psu)

Well umm from the way I see it. A 4870 has performance then a GTX260. A 4870 can be had for $135 after rebate ($155 before) which is much cheaper then a GTX260. Now the 5770s just came out and those things scale perfectly. So a 5770 is $160 each. Basically saying a 5770 offers the same performance as a 4870 (more after drivers improve) plus DirectX 11 and 2 5770s equal a 5850. I would go with 2X 5770s because they have DirectX 11, they scale perfectly, and they have the performance of a 4870 which is faster then a GTX260 and their drivers haven't gotten time to improve.

I wrote that about a year ago. Now look at my first rig after I found a job in my signature! I love buying things for myself and not waiting for someone to give stuff to me.

Q6600 is old and outdated. Get yourself an i7 920 (D0 Stepping). Also that PSU is overkill.

I hate myself for saying this, but I would recommend going Socket 1366 too. I will say that I LOVE that mobo (I think it's the sexiest 775 mobo out here) and was hard pressed to choose between it and the UD3P I ended up with. However, 1366 is the future of kicka$$ Intel product... at least for the next year.
