I need help building a budget gaming build for a friend. Price should be no more than 800 bucks with tax. No monitor, OS, sound card or peripherals necessary. Possibly s775 or s1156 based, in an Antec 300 case. No preference toward Green or Red gfx cards, either one should do. No fancy cooling or anything, just has to work.

It's been almost a year since I built a computer and have been out of the scene since. I shop at newegg.

Suggestions please?

That's what I'd do. You can get a non-recertified power supply if you're nervous about it, though, I left that gap in the budget to accomodate that.

If you can't read that, it says includes:

Wow.... i had no idea it was possible to build a decent computer for this cheap. This thing is better than mine

Unfortunately, living in CA i pay tax... some $77.31 of it. This is a great build though.

this comes out a little more then 800, but it is a core i5 and the 5000 series
