Budget Price $1000
__________________Building a new P55 or a X58 chipset i7 computer for my friend. Here is what i put together so far for both PC. I'm not sure what build is better the P55 build that i made or the X58 build. I'm open to all suggestions please if you can help me improve this computer and keep it under my budget that would be so appreciated. P55 build i7 CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115214 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128401 PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153052 Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066 memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146736 Hard drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136075 Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150447 CD-ROM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118032 Note: I really don’t feel great about that mobo. I do love GIGABYTE but those reviews are just making me nervous. Another thing is about the memory. I know certain mobos are picky when it comes to memory. I'm wondering if I should trust muskin memory. The last thing I’m concern is the modular power supply it got good reviews but I heard lots of bad stuff about it, is it safe? X58 build i7 920 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157163 Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066 Hard drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136075 GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102858 Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153052 memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231222 Heatsink http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185093 CD-ROM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118032 Which Rig would you think is better? Thank you all.

If you have a 1K budget, why not go i7/x58?

Because the 920 is slower then the 860. I know the 920 is more future proof cuz you’re able to upgrade the CPU with the new Intel CPU does comes out. I aware the 1156 sockets has no future proof. But the thing is this computer is for a friend that would have no idea how to install a new CPU. I’m not trying to hurt him I really want the best for my friend

i7 920 DO Overclocks farther, and is the same speed clock for clock.

Oh I really didn’t know that. You think I can still pull off X58 chipset under 1k? I mean I barely got the thing under 1k even with P55 supposedly the budget builds from Intel.

I am aware of micro center having a great deal on the i7 CPU as well. But now i'm starting to think if i should go X58 instead of P55.

You can pull off a dang good X58 build.
I7 920 + Mugen 2 = $313 Corsair 650TX = $99 X58 board = $190-$300 Case = $70 3GB DDR3 1600 = $70 640gb caviar black = $75 5770 = $160 (Anyone but XFX's) $1030 with a $250 motherboard

BloodRage is supposed to be real good, I don't like it because its FoxConn, and because there is no int. sound, but rather they include a dedicated sound card. The UD3R also Overclocks well, but I hate its PCI-Express placements. P6T has some complaints that bother me
