Get a more reliable power supply like from: Antec, Seasonic, Corsair, Cooler Master, OCZ.

I really like everything.
![]() The PSU is a little on the weak side, however. It's a CWT design, with 29A/348W on the 12V rail, it should be enough to power that system and a low-profile GPU, but if you wanted to add something for gaming, you'd need something a bit better. This PSU is a better built FSP Epsilon unit, with 44A/528W on the 12V rail. This would support a graphics card if you decided to add one. OCZ also have a great warranty, 3 years.

I approve besides the PSU.

Optional fan if you want to replace for more cooling on that Scythe Mugen
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999122 Power, but get it fast! Ends 10/30! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153039 What about GFX card? Forgetting something? Depends what he wants to play. If he's waiting for Cod4MW2.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130433 Something cheaper? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125277 EDIT: Also, I've calculated your total, you MIGHT have enough to get these items I've listed. With some extra cash that is, it might total up to $1, 100, but won't be a problem, will it?

I may actually suggest holding out for the Xiggy Balder, which should be hitting retail very soon (if it hasn't somewhere already). Should have pretty decent performance, and a ~$40 something price tag. Which is the sweet spot, before crossing into Noctua / TRUE / Megahalem land.

__________________Darn, the mugen 2 wont work with the socket 1156?...... hmmm anyone else suggest a good heatsink other then mugen 2 if not compatible. For the PSU i'll be running the 5770 video card i'm sure it can handle that with ease.
