Why must you be so mean to the 'ol gts? You are acting like its integrated or some wal-mart special. I have seen many people with 9800gt's or similar in their rig with an i7. The operating system is holding you back the most, and only because its 32 bit, if you were using 32 bit vista or seven it would be the same thing.

So no that is not the worst i7 system you are still upgrading it so its kinda hard to judge.

Huh. Actually, that makes me appreciate my system a little better, if only because 640MB can do better in GTA4 than a 512MB card with the same number of shader cores.

Sounds like a work in progress. Will be a great system, with simple addition of new GFX card and OS.

Okay so you're running outdated hardware... SO WHAT? Yeah, that i7 wont be at full potential with an 8800 Series card, but is the only thing you do is hit the power button then automatically launch a game?

You do other things, like internet browsing, probably watch movies or shows, maybe even type up a document....

Imagine doing that on a Pentium with an 8800 attatched to it... DOes this suddenly become the world's worst 8800 GTS?

But that's my entire point. It won't be anywhere close to its full potential. My e8400 was held back a bit, and my i7 will be held back more. I happen to think it's funny that circumstance made me upgrade the part that didn't need to be upgraded, while leaving the part that I've been intending to use as a PhysX card as my primary video card. You don't. Oh well.

Well, yes. By my definition, it would be the world's worst 8800GTS system. And it would make me laugh. And I'd probably make a post about it.
