Weakling. I disagree with that. The 8800GTS 640 was an awesome card, and still is a decent card depending on your monitor size. You my friend are misinformed.

Now as far as the hardware I would look into changing the RAM. Patriot timings tend to run pretty freaking high, other than that, you're ahead of the game in allot of ways.

Well, it's one of the 96 shader core models, and I've had it for a year. I'm pretty familiar with it's performance, and trust me, it's not all that powerful any more. There isn't a game I've bought in the last year that it can play at 1920x1200 at even medium settings smoothly. As you say, it depends on your resolution, but at my resolution, it is a weak card.

As for the RAM, yeah, timings of about 9-9-9-27 or so aren't great, but it's a big step up from 1066 @ 5-5-5-15.

Huh. Guess mine isn't the worst in the world!

Officially, no, you can't upgrade from the RC to the RTM version. But Google returns several guides on how to do it anyways.

Not sure if it's valid for 64-bit though. You'll have to run 64-bit Windows to recognize the full 6GB anyways (XP or Vista or 7)
