If I would have cleared anything out of the budget, I wouldn't have upped my GPU or RAM, that's the point. Also, my mobos tend to last less than five years, and my RAM the same... my computer is under heavy use 18-20 hours a day, every day and I beat the hell out of it. I can't justify the extra cost for the RAM either, especially considering it's already a hell of an upgrade compared to what I am running.

A pre-build? ROFL... if I wanted a pre-build, I would have went Alienware for the $ (Aurora starts at like $1200)

Edit: also, hypocrisy. You are running GTX 275's yourself...

uh I bought those months ago before the 5 series were out, and they were 189 after rebate at micro center

edit1

I have you know motherboards last longer than 5 years, same with ram. They last wayy more than 5 years. My friend who's got a pentium 4 based server hasn't had downtime in years (excluding maintainable restarts patches and things)

2. You still need fans to cool your components if you choose liquid cooling. Hell, liquid cooling requires MORE maintenance because in addition to cleaning dust and other debris in you case, you need to replace the coolant, clean the rads, and make sure the waterblocks aren't getting gunked up.
3. An i7 920 D0 will overclock better than an i7 960 C0.
4. Saying random memes everywhere isn't funny. It is, however, a great way to see who is 14 years old or under.

#3: I defy you to find me an i7-960 C0

who cares what they say, its what YOU want, heck you even said this is just for whatever. AWESOME build, seriously, i would love to have that, but i love my sig rig, as i've earned it by working my butt off, but yea, another GTX275 and you'll be fine bro.

This title is deceiving, your power level is no where near 9000.

QFT

I agree with everybody who said that a 920 + 58x0 would have been a better choice.
