Several videos of my computers are on Youtube, and whenever someone asks how much it costs, rather than giving the 10 year olds flame fuel I just tell them its over 9000....

Half of them get it, half of them thing they're smart and argue with me saying "there's no way that POS is $9000"

He's got a meme named build, a meme named user, and he's got a meme in his sig. He's probably a 4channer.

also, why did you waste cash on the i7 960 and a Asetek Liquid cooling kit? for that cash you could of bought DDR3-1600MHz ram and a HD 5870/GTX 295 which would of destroyed that setup

First off, I don't get to build a new rig very often... this is going to be "the rig" for as long as 5 years. Hence, the UltraDurable series mobo and the RAID 0+1 (I wanted performance, but I wanted security too)

Liquid cooling: Silent operation, longer life, and a bundle deal; first time running liquid cooling too, why not?

i7 960: Because I'm not 1337 enough for a 975 extreme and I plan on upgrading in a few years.

GTX 275: Cheap enough to SLi in the future, this is a lot of $ to me + I have a PS3 for gaming (this is just a general purpose build). Top it off with unjustified fanboy hatred of ATi, and there you go.

RAM: Because the particular modules are renowned for durability and it gives me room to grow (going to double the RAM inside of 6 months, then go 24GB of 1600 in 3 years)

That's not what he means... You could have bought a i7 920 and EASILY overclocked it to 3.3ghz yourself, seeing as it's the EXACT SAME CHIP, intel just trys to lure in stupids who actually think it's a better chip when really it's not.

Just this alone could have saved you a hundred or something.

C0 stepping versus D0 is not the same thing, which is all they had in stock (SLBCH); if anything, the i7-960 it is the same as the i7-950 except the higher base speed (3.2 v 3.06) and Turbo Boost speed (3.46 v 3.33)... otherwise, everything else is the same (including the 130W thermal envelope and 4.8 GT/s QP). The only real difference between these two and the i7-870 is the socket (LGA1366 v LGA1156).

what? I'm only comparing the 920 and 960, am I missing something from your posts?
