Yes, they typically can reach higher clocks at lower voltages that the original C0 steppings. If you buy from newegg, chances are that you'll get a D0. If you go to a B&M store you'll wanna look at the box. It should say "S spec: SLEBJ". Microcenter has the 920 for $200, so if you have one even remotely close to you, I recommend that you take advantage of it.
OK, give me some examples of the Prolimatech's.

The rig in my sig was a $2,400 build this spring, I put most of it into the E759 Classified to get the 3 PCI-E slots that can simultaneously run in x16, seemed like the best way to futureproof the build. EVGA's high-end boards are the best + they look better than other brands.

With that budget you should crossfire your 5870. (providing you find em' in stock)

I'm not into water cooling, I don't know jack ***** about it. Not much of an overclock-er to be honest, so air cooling should be sufficient...

Well, this is the time and place to learn and grow my friend. If I had a budget like yours, that would be one of the first things I'd look to do.. But the choice in the end is yours.

haha, it is the Prolimatech Megahalems, not two seperate items. :-P

prolimatech is the company, magahalems is the item.

and no, newegg does not sell them.
