Default how Pentium M compare to others in terms of clock speed?

are they faster clock for clock than AMD?
like how fast whould a 2GHz Pentium M be in AMD speed

The performance of Pentium-M 2.26 (Dothan) is somewhat higher clock for clock than either A64 3700+ or Pentim 4 660 3.6GHz. The exception is those applications where performance is in direct dependence on the memory handling speed (e.g. WinRar). At these applications, Athlon64 demonstrates very high results due to the integrated memory controller.

Any of these 3 chips would do well though.

They perform about on par with the athlon 64 processors according to the numerous benchmarks I've read, the only difference is less wattage on the pentium M's ,more cache and lack of 64bit instructions, but a 1.7ghz pentium M performs about the same as a 1.8ghz Athlon 64, the pentium M architecture is what the Core 2 is based on.
