Well the Abit p965 QuadGT and DFI P965-S were in a league of their own during their reign. To my knowledge they were the only two mobos(at that time) which stayed on the the 266(1066) NB strap.

The DFI X48 has the ability to select different straps and has better memory tweaks, but it's still clock for clock only .1-.5% faster(That's just a quick observation from my SPI1M times). For OCing a 45nm C2D the P965 chipset is quite capable and a far more affordable solution.
