Try 1.575V, it's safe on watercooling (at least not for 24/7), and record temps.

I'm doing 3.4Ghz 24/7 with just 1.33v, on air i have booted into windows as high as 3.8Ghz although never tried higher.

Dude, it's a 6420 here! 3.8Ghz is madness on an E6400, as it would be on a 6420. 3.5Ghz is already really good... However, i feel the need to keep pushing here too

Why would E6420 overclock lower? It's the same CPU with extra cache, in fact it should overclock like an E6600, except we're into a whole new era of week numbers.

My L638F050 was just garbage, my current conroe 6600 L629B367 is running at 3.3ghz with 1.43 Vcore she is a voltage hungry *****
