Okay guys, I updated the guide (now version v1.2). It has been streamlined, dead/bad links removed, etc.

Graysky, thank you very much for this thread. I built my 1st computer this week, and overclocked it...also the first time I've overclocked anything. I used your guide exclusively, and it was very easy. E6550 from 2.33 -> 3.2 GHz Edit: 2.33 -> 3.4 GHz

Nice guide.

How about an Index ? For when people come back to it and only need to peek at part of it.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I'm glad you found it useful. About the index idea: I xfered it over to the overclockingwiki where it is indexed.

good work graysky I myself just browsed through it and found it easy to follow, there is so much to take in when overclocking a system its not just about raising the FSB to see what you get as most people would believe (not the ones here i might add and its what i did when i first started out about 5 years ago and im still learning more) so a lot of the information regarding this is most likely 4x the size of youre post, you have kept it basic yet well explained again good effort and good work I could never have the patience to do anything like that besides my gramma sucks.

Superb guide.
Just wondering, when running a prime95 torture test you get prompted asking which box should be ticked - small FTT's, in-place large FTT's, or blend. Which one should we do?

@ silversurfer - Blend is probably best though as it'll use much larger data sets that require the memory as well.
