Nice guide but you are wrong when you say quads produce twice as much heat as duals.

Some people have their dual cores at 3.4 and idle in the mid 40's with a tuniq tower.

I have my quad at 3Ghz and get 34-38 idles with my AC Freezer 7 Pro

Well, ballpark 2x the heat... it's really tough to say 1.8x or 2.1x etc. even when many BIOS settings are identical. There can be some variation in chip IHS flatness, mounting technique, etc. My point is that cool is more and more critical as the number of CPU cores increase

Guide is now version 1.6

• Added a detailed section to help you find the minimum stable CPU and MB vcore settings. Check it out (near the bottom of the guide entitled, “Stress Testing and Minimizing Your Vcores”)!
• Updated the CPU table
• Provided a less than $5 method you can use to shave off some NB load temps (in the thermal management section at the end of the guide).
