You guys should consider yourselves lucky. My room temperature goes over 40C easily in the afternoon and I can barely survive with a tower fan on full speed blowing at me from less than a foot away. It's 4:40am and room temp is still 37C.

Is this the updated prime95 which runs 4 threads? I think IwubAMD is right, there is no way a 100% fully loaded 3.6 q6600 is running that low at the core temperature, however the IHS temp sensor is more believeable. Maybe if you could provide us a screenie DarkFury the confusion could be settled.

Either you live in a freezer, or you are using 'sub-ambient' cooling...most folks would gladly kill the person sitting next to them, for 31c temps on a 1.46vcore using a Q4.

thats the thing though, even 4 core prime doesnt load the cores 100% temp wise, i see a few degree dif between that and orthos +p95

yea like i said unless he lives in in a freezer, and while his idle isnt that far off, his loads are way far off, unless "not much above 51c" meens 65 celsius at least

other people will read that everywhere he posts it and go "oh ok so thats normal" that freak when they get actually normal temps

or i got it right

Yeah i just don't see how it is possible. I was thrilled to get my idle temps down 5-6 degrees after lapping and at 1.45 I idle at 44 C (ambient is 22.7 C). Even before I lapped at 390x9 @ 1.4 I idled at like 42-43. I just don't believe that you can have those temps on air.

I agree...

Personally, I think IwubAMD must be feeling a bit "inadequate" over his cooling.
