New to Overclock.net

Overclocking ASUS p4s266 makes it slower
Intel Pentium 4, 2200 MHz 10% overclock (20 x 110)
__________________Asus P4S266-VX 480 MB (PC2100 DDR SDRAM) Northwood, A80532 Okay, I don't understand why but when I overclock, according to everest, it makes it run slower. Should I use a different program to benchmark it?
