Well, if you look in the online deals section of overclock.net, you will find a great deal for an E6600 OEM chip. I am wondering if I should wait until the next round of Intel Price Cuts (Sept. 3) or if I should purchase this chip now.
I don't really "need" this chip right now since this is for a PC that will be used as a HTPC in a few months, but I am wondering if the price of the E6600 will go down past $130 by then. THanks!

I am sure you will find another deal, I wouldn't buy something like this that early to try and save money. Tech stuff just gets cheaper too fast. What is the normal price right now of the E6600

Like anything else, if you need it now, buy it.
If you "want" it now, wait.... till you do lol. But as of now, Intel has no more scheduled price cuts. The next one might be before the end of the year. .... and coming from someone that just upgraded, I'd say now is the time to buy!
