Whats the max temperature you should let your CPU get to under load?
__________________Currently i have my E6320 overclocked to 2.4Ghz.. FSB of 350. I can push it more but it seems to become unstable.. I've had 1 bluescreen at 2.8Ghz trying to run orthos. ANyhoo at the moment at 2.4Ghz its loading with orthos at about 63-65C, quite hot... What would the max temperature would YOU let you CPU get too before getting worried about long term damage?

60 degrees celcius
Those temps are WAAAY too high. try reseating the cooler or checking airflow in your case. also, how hot is your room?

65 is seriously hot. it can considerably reduce the life of your CPU anyway. So i would recommend you lower it. I mean the performance gains are'nt enough to warrant a temp of 65 C as far as i'm concerned.

You shouldn't load pass 60C.
What's your vcore? (CPU Voltage) If it is still on Auto, manually set it. Depending on chip to chip, the C2D stock voltage is around 1.2850v ~ 1.3250v. Manually set your voltage to one of those if it is still on Auto. Auto give you insanely high temps. Also keep in mind that it is possible to overclock while undervolting. You can probably run at 2.4GHz with 1.2v instead of stock.
