I think it is 85C due to: I have my bios set at 60C auto shutdown At bios screen 15 mins it's low 30C on a 70ish room I don't have a thermal sensor. At idle in coretemp is it at 23C This is at stock volts. at least 51-53 with a nice OC.. AC is on with it off 55-56C not stock volts btw. core temp is reading high 60s sometimes 70s. (+15C whatever is coretemp / speedfan). Well I can't understand how it can be possible that TAT is reading 60+ when my PC is set to shutdown at 60C and the CPU does not throttle nothing at those temps so explain that. e2140 is 85c

What voltages are you guys using? My E2160 will do 320mhz fsb on stock voltage but wont do anything past that no matter how I fiddle with the vcore, fsb or mch voltages.

You are still failing to provide the key factor in your temps which is what the ambient is.
__________________And of course your pc wont shutdown over 60c because most bios are reading something other than what the true tjunction is for the cpu and are usually off by -10c to -20c Nore have you done what I suggested about reverting back to stock freq. /stock or lower vcore, and checking whether or not your idle temps are lower than ambient which you cant check since you dont have an ambient sensor. Go look for any cpu tjunction thread you will see that its 85c for one person and 100c for the next. Its not the same for everybody.

I use coretemp, speedfan and evergreen. I don't know which one is correct.
__________________1. BIOS core 0 - 25C core 1 - 27C 2. Core temp Tjunction -100c Idle core 0 - 41C core 1 - 42C Load core 0 - 56c core 1 - 57c 2. Speedfan Idle core 0 - 28C core 1 - 29C Load core 0 - 43c core 1 - 42c 2. Evergreen Idle core 0 - 37C core 1 - 39C Load core 0 - 53c core 1 - 54c So, which one is correct?
