Haha. That’s exact what I want to say. See if I can get an E6750 and give it a try. But then you wish you have luck to get one from good batch. As you saw many E6750 posts, they are struggle to 3.2G

Just wondering if the 1MB cache affects the performance.

Yes the E6750's vary in capability.
I had one that got to 3.2GHz on stock stable for 8hours.
Another took two bumps in vcore to get to 3.2GHz stable.
Then another took like 4 bumps in vcore to get to 3.2GHz.

I'm fixing to order 2 E2180s with some 965P-DS3's. Hopefully i can get some good results like you.

Really if I got em to 3.4Ghz i'd be happy.

Not much in my tests but go for 2 or 4 M if it does very matter with you. Comfortable is the key.

Same here. I will happy it can run at 3.4G. $90 with 70% OC. Not bad at all.

Indeed.

What are you temps like on those E21X0's with such high vcores?
I notice some are over 1.6, which is normally just for suicide runs with the core 2 duos.

During the test, I have to move the system in my cold basement, lapped my cooler and let the case open. When the E2180 ran at 3.8G with DS3L, the temp was 43c at idle and 65c at load just few degrees under the M0 thermal limit. Yes. It was a suicide run. I am not sure someone will buy this if I let them know about this. That’s why I said the sweet spot is 3.4G to 3.5G.
