If you get to 3.3GHz be happy that you got a Duel Core 3.3GHz chip for $90.
Thanks Ziggy. I think my article is misleading many people

I decided to build another rig with E2180. Which moetherboard do you recommend? I am not very happy with my Gigabyte P965 mobo.

The NB is very hot and vcore is very high. I set the vcore to 1.55v in order to run 3.0G.

Did you mean upgrade from your current system specs? I am not sure. OC can be easy and relatively complicated. It needs reliable components that work together. This doesn’t mean you need to have high-end components. How’s E2140 doing now?

I put it at 2.8G. I was able to run at 3.0G but always got blue screens.

These are many things can cause blue screens but I am worry about your current components. Your mb is brand name mb but I don’t know how good for OC it is. This doesn’t mean I don’t like the Foxconn mb. Also, your ram, I think it is OK for OC but sometime it may have problems when you do high OC such as 3.2G and above. I haven’t seen your PSU in specs. This is a key component. You may be surprised PSU is actually holding you back.

I don’t know about this PSU. I would like to get a reliable 500w PSU at reasonable price rather than cheap $ for 600W as some do. See other members help you to pick a good PSU
