I ran TAT while testing 3.6 @ 1.6V and it hit 85c in about two mins and shutdown comp. 85c is the Tj.Max in Core temp. BTW, this is a newer model chip. I thought I had hit a wall at 3.1, but the 680i just has some FSBs that will not post. I droped to 3.4 and started posting again.

I have tried four of them. Three were between 3.2G and 3.4G. This one is pretty good. Those early batches are doing much better. I know Bear have two that are able to run at 3.7G.

I'm not really having troubles per se, I've got a solid 50% overclock, stable at 3GHz. That's not the best around, but it is certainly nothing to scoff at. And my temps are alright for all that Vcore. The only hard time I'm having is figuring out if I just have to run that much Vcore for only 3GHz when many get it up to 3.2 or better on stock.

I've plaayed with 3 e2180s and I've had to increase volts on all three before reaching 3.0
