Anyway here is my results so far with my e2180. UserName: xfiddle CPU: Processor name - E2180 C/S: MO Batch #: Q723A182 Cooling: Air Chipset: P35 Mobo: ABIT IP35-E BIOS: 11 FSB: 330 M. FSB: 360 Multi: 10 CPSD: 3300 Ram SPD: 330 1:1 Ram TM: 5-5-5-18 DDRV: 2.1v NBV: 1.41 SBV: 1.55 CoreV: 1.272 VID: 1.212 Idle Temp: 30/32 Load Temp: Prime95(smallfft)60/63 Comments: running on stock cooler. Noticed there wasn't a spot for CPU VTT, anyways I bumped that up a notch to 1.237. Seemed to possible help a tiny bit. Going to open up the TRU120X today and give that a whirl. Just debating whether or not to Lap my IHS and Thermalright first or to test them@stock first. I'll update my stats with the improved cooling ASAP, then I get to start pushing the limits of my ram Update: just installed the TRU120X with the same max stable settings from the stock cooler and load temps dropped 13 degrees. (Idle temps dropped 5-6 degrees) Time to up the voltage ![]() TRU120X Temps: Idle: 25/26 Load: 49/50 22 degrees ambient (alittle warmer than last night when I tested stock cooling)

hi all overclocker outhere here is nice story about vcore drops,
Both Asus and third-party utilities such as PcProbII/AISuite/CPUZ shows that my CPU Vcore reading drops as the CPU load goes up. This also happens after I set CPU Vcore to a set value instead of the preset [AUTO]. Why does the motherboard act like this? Will this effect the overall stability of my system? Answer As Intel specification clearly states Vcc (CPU Vcore) should drop in propotonal to the increase of Icc (CPU current consumption), in order to prevent causing permanent damage to your CPU. When CPU is under stress (in other words, under higher load), the current consumption of the CPU will go up, and the CPU Vcore will then drop to conpensate this change. This is a perfectly normal behaviour, and will not effect the overall stability of your system. For more information, please refer to Intel CPU datashee, under "DC Voltage and Current Specification". taken from asus website iwas curious about this because i have this drops and its realy working like that, i found like 3 drop steps, but what this mean on performance under heavy load, its lowered than too? |

Well I've got my upgrade installed, although I really haven't had time to tweak it as much as I'd like. The Bios on this Motherboard SUX! I can't increase Vcore at all, it always runs RAM @ 1:1, even @ 250FSB, which is the highest I've been stable up to. I'll fill in all the numbers at a later date for everyone to enjoy and laugh at

It's all good, I'm just frustrated with this board cause I can't set dividers to run my RAM at anywhere near it's rated speed. I've got to do alot more research on this board to see if there's anything I can do. I'm also thinking that I may have a couple of bad sticks of Ram as well due to it not being stable @ DDR2-533. Then again, it could also be that the E2180 needs more juice to get higher than 2.5GHZ, any comments on this are greatly appreciate. Just so you know, it's defaulting to 1.2V on Vcore!
