yes. The striker extreme 680i LGA775 Socket will support seed samples of the penryns, and the striker II 780SLi will handle it all.

Give me a week or so and I'll see what I can come up with. Ordered the QX9650 from Tankguys today and am waiting on the 780i upgrade, which EVGA screwed up from day one.

Hmm, the guys at extreme could only get the chip to run at stock on the striker and intermittently at that. Even asus has admitted that their 680i boards cannot overclock "at all" with the 45nm chips so how exactly did you get it to OC?

You might want to join extreme forum R3ap3R, because King_Pin, Hipro, kunaak and Fugger haven't been able to do what you have accomplished even after vmodding the gtl ref on the board.

I simply ran Ntune on it... Not all of it was able to be configured, which I have mentioned since day one... which is why I am waiting on a 780
