Default My temperatures ok for E6400?

Hello, I have a core 2 duo E6400 and I have a thermalright hr-01 on it with a fan mounted, anyways the temperatures are as follows:

Overclock @ 2.8Ghz Orthos Load
core1: 51
core2: 51

Overclock @ 2.8Ghz idle
core1:45
core2:45

My ambient temperature is 34C. I was wondering if these temps are too high with the heatsink+fan setup I have. I will try to see what the temps are at stock clocks.

Heya,

considering ur ambient temps and the OC ur load temperatures are excellent. Just stay below the magical 60s and u should be fine. I can see more OC out of that processor.

Congrats on the OC so far!

Just curious, what is your CPU vcore showing in CPU-Z?

My xeon runs at pretty similar temperatures. It is about the same cpu as the 6400 from what I can tell. You should be fine.

Thats good for that vcore. I run 1.4v vcore on my OC just to keep the temps down.

Your temps look fine but you should experiment further to see if you can get that Vcore down a bit too and lower temps even further!

For example, I have my e6420 @ 3.0ghz with Vcore of 1.31v (Orthos load 24hr stable). My temps in Speedfan register @ 31C idle/54C Load (then again, I have very good airflow from my fans since I still have the stock cooler). The temps used to register around 39/58C when I was at 1.4 Vcore. Slowly lower it and keep testing for stability until you get unstable, then just up-tick the Vcore and you should be good to go (.....until the devil gets into you and you decide to OC higher...mwahaha!!).

Good luck!
