Default quad extreme vs q6600

Can any one tell me weather an overclocked Q6600 3ghz+ be "better" then a Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core QX9650 S775 3.0GHz 45nm or the Qx98 extreme
in over all performance or does the q6600 still stand tall??

Umm. If you don't overclock the Extremes at all...I guess so.

But the Extremes can overclock a hell of a lot more than the Q6600.

I'm no expert, so wait for a few more replies...

~Gooda~

EDIT: Oh, those are 45nm? Not sure then...

Well, an overclocked Q6600 will beat a stock QX9650 if that is what you're asking. Stock vs. Stock though, the QX9650 will win.

whats the overclock ability of the extreme aint really seen much about them, just the q6600 getting good overclocking reviews i mean 4ghz+ must be pretty hard to beat how ever im not really sure how much the 45nm will effect any thing

I believe I saw a QX9650 hit 5Ghz.

Lemme see if I can dig up the pic.

~Gooda~

EDIT: Found it. http://media3.dropshots.com/photos/1...9/b_004602.jpg

Check the top right. It's rather small, but he hit 5014.4Mhz with a 418FSB and 12x multi.
