looks like the e8400@3GHz is the one to go for, no point in shelling out an extra £60 for 0.16GHz although i am keeping my quad

As for the price difference between the 8400 and 8500 seems a bit steep yes. But remember it's all about the CPU multi. Just wondering what the Yorkfields will be priced at.....looking at the cost of these Duo's i'm slightly optimistic.
