Some older chips (Socket A) were able to be unlocked by a wire trick, basically you put a wire from one pin slot to another and it unlocked the multi, but the CPUs are laser cut now and it's not possible.

I just got my "e4400" from Stalliontek (if you want one, its almost guaranteed from what I've read) and it says "Intel Confidential" on it. I will get my CPU-Z validation as soon as my mobo and RAM get here (and the clip for socket 775 for my Ninja Scythe. Stalliontek says it comes with a hsf, but they also thought they were shipping it FedEx when it was shipped, and arrived, UPS...). Hope to see some nice overclocks from this!

I saw an ES E6600 on ebay a couple days ago I figured it was a scam but, I wasn't sure
