Auto the timings. Don't set them yourself. When you get a stable overclock you can tighten them later.

Paulus, I'm sorry to hear that the overclock isn't working for you. It's hard to pinpoint sometimes as different components can cause this.

Ok that explains why we have two different pictures showing two different pencil mods. They are mad to be used in conjunction or seperately. Thanks. I may just do this when I have my computer apart this weekend.

Someone knows another solution maybe ? Yesterday ive bought a new 2gb ram and now i have 4gb corsair XMS2 6400. Today i will get another xfx 8800gt xxx version, and then i will in SLI with this board. I will post screens of my stable system at 2,7ghz. So im hoping that there is someone who maybe have a good solution to get it to 3ghz.

On that board with that processor I believe you'd be setting a record by getting 3GHz on a quad.

I really suggest just getting a 680i A1 or a 780i motherboard cause youll get atleast 3.2GHz.

2.7GHz will most likely bottleneck 2x 8800GT alot unless your running 1680x1050 or higher.

yes get the aforementioned thermaltake its the bomb! And yes the northbridge runs a redicoulus temperature but as long as you don't get to crazy with voltages you will be good you could also reseat it with some as5 it would help a few degrees over the thermal tape crap they love putting on everything

I reckon 3.06 is the wall. I've tried 3.08 at a few different settings now and its prime stable for anywhere from 20 -> 40 mins but then reboots.

The vdropp is starting to appear more pronounced at 3.08.

I quickly tried the pencil mod last night but it did nothing for me.
