It seems that you rebooted the comp before it was ready. You needed to wait till it rebooted itself. Its quite possible you corrupted your bios. PM diddler1979 with your problem and see if he knows what to do.

Bleh thats weird i waited for quite some time, and this was AFTER the bios was done and it told me to press F1 to resume
__________________![]() I guess i was just too hasty update: I managed to get into the bios for like 5 - 6 seconds then it just locks up :S I tried going to the EZ flash and updating it back to its original state quickly but it got locked up when it was checking the file...

I removed my soundcard and reset the CMOS by taking the battery out for a couple of seconds and then back inn. It seemed to boot up right so i went into the BIOS and decided to update it while i had the chance...boy was that stupid
__________________I started the update and it got into 2 lines into "erasing blocks" and it froze, i figure i could leave it like that all day, so i will. Think i should make a thread about it and pray for a miracle? :S update: I put in the support Cd for the motherboard, it went into some bios update thingi. Its seems to be the CrashFree BIOS 2 thingi, i think its stuck there too though. Il wait for a while and see update 2: yay! seems the crashfree thingi fixed it, i updated it to the newest bios. Il see how far i get it from this BIOS and play with overcloking AFTER all my big tests when i dont actually need the PC so much xO

Wobbley would you mind posting your system specs. It helps us help you. The way to do it is through your control panel where it says systems.
From whatr I read in another forum your running the Q6600. You will get no where without downgrading your bios to 0608. Use the guide in my sig. Follow everything to the letter.

Hey Wobbley, sorry to hear of your woes. When flashing the bios to 0608, if you hit the point where it says press F1 to resume then you can be safe to either let it reboot or to turn it off and back on again. Well done on getting it back online though.
Seen as you had problems when you went to 0608 I lead to think of two things. One, your power supply isn't giving enough juice but since you are running fine with the latest bios then I pretty much going to discount that. The other thing that might be a problem is that the 0608 bios doesn't like your memory. If/when you do downgrade again, try removing all of your memory bar the one stick (be it 512mb or 1Gb) and see how you get on. Once its finished see how it performs and grdually add the extras back in. Remember, overclocking is all about trial and error. Very tedious at times but it's what has to be done if you want to get the best out of your system. Good luck with your exams.
