Nvidia Sli will not work on the x38 chipset, so no go with sli 8800gts. OK, maybe i missunderstood, when you said "i ordered a p35 but i have 2 8800gts (g80) that i'll put to use on this board" maybe you mean you will use the 2 x 8800gts on the P5N-E sli board?

You know you are going to need DDR3 on that x38, right? Thats stuff is uber expensive with high clock speeds and high latencies. I did some research myself. If it wasn't for the DDR3 memory that intel board would have been my next one.

Ya this board is pretty bad.
Abit P35 is a winner though. I really can't believe so many people go through so much trouble to get 3dMark06 scores. I say you are running 3dMark because there is no benefit to be gained in the gaming environment for SLI'ed cards. Asus + Nvidia was amazing for along time. Now it is much more of a hassle than it's worth. Jump ship...

Look...everybody...just because the quad doesn't overclock the best on this board doesn't mean it can't be done. You just need to be patient and work with it. I am stuck with this board for now but I am trying to make the best of it. Why don't we try to make use of what we have first before rushing out and RMA'ing this and that or buying a new mobo. This is a GREAT board!!

actually, its nearly impossible to overclock a quad on it...i think there are two members on the entire forum who got their quads to 3.0ghz, and thats not really even that impressive of an overclock for a G0...I just ordered an IP35-E, so anyone who is interested in buying my TWO P5Ns give me a PM. I'd be interested to see how well you can overclock it though, good luck.
