I am in the market for some better ram. I think the timings on this valu stuff is holding me back. But anyway it is a challenge.

How much are you wanting for one of the boards?

This is a GREAT board!!
I'll second that. If you want a low cost dual-core SLI rig, the P5N-E SLI is THE board to get. I loved mine, even though I could only get 3.0GHz with my quad. It was perfect for my D820, and also perfect for any e series C2D.

@ MR Q: for some reason I can't PM you, but heres the deal: ive been using my current board for about 5 months because i fried the last one and got this one brand new from an RMA, so its in spectacular condition. Never pushed too hard either, kept voltage under 1.4v on both CPU and NB. The other motherboard is fried ATM and sitting at my house, but once i RMA that then i could sell you either the new one from the RMA or the one i have right now. Obviously, you would get my current board much quicker than the other.

I fixed the PM deal. Sorry about that. I was curious about the board, but am way more interested in the RAM.

Great! If you send 40 bucks to my paypal, I can ship it out this weekend. Please respond soon though so I know what to do. When I think about it, this would be a perfect kit because you would never be running in excess of 400fsb, and this has a low voltage compared to other kits.

I am convinced that Quad OCing problems are mainly down to voltage problems, for the most part these can be fixed but granted it is a lot of buggering about. I am going all out in the next couple of months for a Quad core(heard good results on the Warfdale with 1403 anyway) and possibly 9800GTsomething.

If I have no luck with a WC'd chipset, a long multimeter session then I'll call it a day on this board but I like SLI so will goto another NVidea chipset, probably.

The more people have trouble the more I am determined to give it a go, I guess I don't like easy....! The board IMO is still pretty good, TBH at the time I bought it, the P5N32SLi seemed to be a pretty stable, well featured future proof SLI way for the forthcoming Quads and given it was OK at OCing Dual/Core2's. I guess no-ones perfect. Heh, hopefully NVidea will start paying attention to Intels datasheets in future chipset revisions, Asus will stay truer to form, there will be a magic BIOS upgrade and everything will be OK... or not.

I will give this board my best then if it doesnt work out after all efforts, heh by then maybe someone will convince me that Sli is not that great... unlikely.

What is the ram exactly? Kingston, OCZ, Corsair, Crucial? And what is the speed? I am running 800mhz right now, but I can settle for 667.

It is corsair XMS ddr2-667 ram stock, but overclocks easily to 800mhz on stock voltage (1.9v) and 4-4-4-12 timings. In fact, you'd have the same fsb but probably lower ram voltage.
