You all do realize that recent news would indicate that the Tjunction values are not constant for each model/stepping, and what programs report is not accurate, right?

That's what we're investigating.

M0 stepping have a tjmax of 100c (Right?), while L2 is 85c.

My temperatures are much more reasonable with RealTemp than with CoreTemp. There is no way I'm loading at 48c at stock speed with a Tuniq Tower. I like RealTemp's reading of 34c much better.

The whole point is that those values reported are inaccurate, so you have to take the Tjunction values with a grain of salt. You are using an unproven value to base test results on, which in turn puts the validity of the test results in question.

I guess that makes sense. This sort of test was done at XS forums, but they guy used a thermal probe on the side of the IHS. It reported RealTemp temps to be the most reasonable. They were 5 celsius off from what the probe read, but the probe was placed on the side of the ihs, and not in the center.

Any temperature trends you observe may be valid, but not the values themselves, so this experiment wasn't for nothing. Like I said, good work gentlemen.

I still want to know why Intel cant release a program to read temps. :/

I do also think M0 Tj max is 100c, but 95c is right up there and is very possible for M0. L2 so far I am getting 85c Tj max by my calculations, but the only way that will work is if L2 steppings have a 5c delta and not 15c as currently in this guide.
