__________________really not sure how to do all the voltages and stuff so I left it on auto. If anyone can help me out and tell me what to change in bios for a stable OC I would be very greatful. Giving reps as well ![]() trying to go for 3.0 ghz w/ 4 4 4 12 timings on my ram. im on stock cooling.

try these:
Advanced BIOS Features CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) Disable CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) Disable CPU EIST Function (Note) Disable MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) CPU Host Clock Control Enabled x CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) what ever speed you want PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) 100 System Memory Multiplier (SPD) 2.0, 2.4, or 2.5, depends on how high you want it o/c'ed System Voltage Control DDR2 OverVoltage Control: +.03v (default is 1.8v) PCI-E OverVoltage Control [Normal] FSB OverVoltage Control +0.2v (G)MCH OverVoltage Control +0.2v (This is your northbridge voltage, might need +0.3)

Stock cooling... You might have heat issues at speeds that high.

you might want to check your voltages on your cpu & ram. whenever you overclock, auto isnt usually the best place to put em on.
i'm assuming you have the gskill 2x1gb ddr2-800 hz's? (the ones with the black heatsinks) if so your ram is rated to run between 2.0v ~ 2.1v so set your ram accordingly. somewhere inbetween Edit: gibsonnova74's got it right with the voltages make sure you turn off c1e & eist; you'll get a more stable overclock on your rig

your saving then exiting bios right?
edit: is your rig trying to start up, then turning off like 3 times in a row. then it starts up in stock settings. if thats the case, the o/c isn't stable enough to enter windows, and it reverts back to stock settings.
