1.325 VID and a 6c delta at idle... Yikes.

Not necessarily. I admit lower VID's are usually desired, because a lower required Vcore for stock frequency can lead to (relatively) lower voltages needed for high frequencies. But I have seen high VID CPU's overclock nicely, as well. It's not an exact indicator and results vary.

What batch is this? The newer Q6600s rep is getting worse each day.

Well try and o/c it and see how high the temps and voltages are getting. VID is not always the rule whether a CPU will clock however it could be an indication.

Ill try that. i was really only looking for 3ghz... or 2.8. At this point i settle for Q6700 Speeds.

Im tempted to put my 925 back ina suicide shot throught the FSB hole i hit.

You will easily reach those speeds dude. Your chip may even be good. Anyway your temps are great and your cooler, if voltage stays below 1.50v, will allow you to go up to 3.4-3.6Ghz.

I agree. As long as your temps stay under ~70C in Orthos/Prime 95 load, these CPU's can safely run @ 1.5V (although it's not exact by any means) for regular 24/7 use.

Intel Q6600 SLACR spec page.

Most Q6600 G0's can reach at least 3.4GHz under those guidelines, given the motherboard isn't holding you back.
