If you were running a REALLY low multi but a REALLY high FSB this "might" be explained as well. my old e6600 would be picked up wrong in some stuff when I ran the multi @ 8x in stead of 9x, and on this e4500 @ 10x instead of 11x the same happens.

More than likely it's another one of those quirks the 790is have, as you stated.

Nope. I'm using a 9x multi and 1430 FSB. The system is 100% stable... I just ran prime all night (7.5 hours) with 0 errors. My board is just insane I'm telling you lol

by the way... if I were to post a screen shot of what "my computer" says now, it says 3.22 GHz. I don't know why last night it said 17 probably just to make me happy lol
