Default e8400 q745 owners

How far have most of you gotten on what volts, i have a Q801 and im thinking of giving my cpu to a friend to buy a Q745 on ebay, I see that most of the 745 guys have hit the 4ghz without going over the vmax, im at 3.8 at 3.34, i might be able to get higher but not much..

Im would like to get to 4ghz with it and be 24/7 stable...

thanks

Mines a Q745A567

I'm at 4.0Ghz with only 1.216v on Load. 1.23 idle, and 1.25v set in bios

Chip to chip, results may vary

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to try. From what i have seen, most of the Q745's seems to be very low voltage chips.. but at the same time, they seem to be rare because i haven't seen many of them.

I love mine, i have only seen one person with lower voltage for 4ghz, and that was an E3110 i think.

I would go for it, especially if your chip now needs that much voltage.
