I'm not up to date on technology, I know before you go bashing my Celeron. I currently have it overclocked simply by adjusting core voltage (FSB)153.4mhz with a 19x multiplier (2.9ghz now). I assume this is correct at least in my bios, CPU-Z photos included. 51C peak under max load dvd encoding, multitasking, stable as it was at 2.53ghz.
Just curious if there is a better way to do this, I'm sure I can squeeze some more out of if and still be safe since I have some more cooling measures on the way. I'd like to see 3.1-3.2ghz. I'm also pretty curious about my ram, cause I know you can overclock that too but I'm pretty new at all of this so any information would be very helpful. I have a biostar P4M80M4 motherboard if that helps at all also. You can see the photo of CPU-Z here; http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cpuoo7.jpg |

What speed is your RAM, because that can (and in all probability will) hold you back.

thank you, this allowed me to change my fsb and it's now oc'd at 3.2ghz. I will have to test the stabability of course, but it's running fine and has been for about 20 minutes now. Idle temps are around 44C and I'm burning a dvd now (encoding) and temps have yet to exceed 57C - which is acceptable in my opinion. I will keep an eye on everything, any idea on where I shouldn't stray as far as temperatures go? I'm trying to keep them under 60C at all costs.
