Default Intel CPU cCode Loading Error? Please Help!

I wasn't entirely sure where to post this, but seeing as the error code had seemed to focus around the CPU, I decided to post here. Here goes my tale.

So, I recently upgraded my computer and installed a new CPU, graphics card, and more RAM. Everything appeared to go in okay physically. Then, when I booted up, my first issue involved a series of 4 beeps. Okay, take the graphics card out, and put it back in, making sure it's pushed in. Good to go, right? No. I boot it up, and now I get to a set up screen. It starts running numbers or whatever computers do during POST. I get some error stating:

"Intel CPU uCode Loading Error. Overclocking Failed or Overvoltage Failed."
"Press F1 for setup or F2 to load defaults and continue."

Okay, definitely haven't tried overclocking my computer yet. I hit F2 and it all boots up normally. I install all the new drivers, etc. Go to restart, and it won't boot back up. Sits on a blank screen. Everything inside the computer is whirring and all fans are on, but my monitor just sits there, blank, with the on light blinking. I don't get a POST beep either. I manually turn it off, and wait a few seconds, and turn it back on. Boots up with the same error above.

Now I'm not a computer idiot, but I'm at a loss at this point. When I try to shut it down completely, everything stays on, fans, HDs, etc. Have to kill the power from the main switch. What's even weirder is, when I start the computer up, graphics card fan cuts on for a few seconds, but after POST it shuts off.

So, there's my long tale. I have an assumption it might be my graphics card, but maybe not. BIOS is all updated too...here, I'll list all my specs now for you:

Computer Specs:

Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5L-VM 1394 Rev 1.xx

When you upgrade CPU's, you'll have to upgrade the BIOS so it can process the newer processor's microcode (uCode).

I already upgraded my BIOS. Here's the deal with that though. I updated BIOS on my old CPU, but the BIOS file was some beta file apparently. So I re-installed a version that was released a couple of months ago. My question is, do I need to put in my old CPU, and reload BIOS that way?

LASIC!!!! Welcome to OCN! All the computer help/knowledge you could ever want or need is here. I hang out in the Off Topic forum alot here.

So you were able to install the new BIOS with the new CPU installed? And nothing changed? Can you get to the BIOS menu to see if its recodnizing the new CPU correctly? Too bad I can't do remote assistance outside the OS. Oh well Ill be down there in a few weeks but hopefully OCN can help resolve this sooner.

Another issue I've noticed...everytime I update my BIOS, my computer won't restart. I'm having these same issues of everytime I shut down or restart, the fans remain on but the screen remains blank with no POST. BIOS are completely updated.
