It's spelled "Nehalem", btw. But yeah I'm really psyched about this new architecture, sucks I'll need a new motherboard for it but what are you gonna do =P

yep , so i guess its not really an octocore, its more like a quad with hyper threading technology

No, my point is, if these are based on NetBurst, which is what a Pentium was based on, this Core i7 will only be as about as good as maybe a Pentium Dual core, with 4x the cores.

Basically what I'm getting is that this is a 45nm Pentium Octal Core. (Please someone prove me wrong!)

Did you read the fudzilla article about how Intel will stop allowing overclocking except for Bloomfield chips? Is this right or am I really that tired?

from what iv read its only the cheap mobos that wont oc , but the good one will, "just like it is now".
