Isn't this supposedly based on the NetBurst architecture?

No what I was meaning was, the optimized clocks, pipeline, etc.

Like how a 3.0GHz C2D BLOWS away a 3.0GHz P4, even with one core disabled.

No, my point is, if these are based on NetBurst, which is what a Pentium was based on, this Core i7 will only be as about as good as maybe a Pentium Dual core, with 4x the cores.

Basically what I'm getting is that this is a 45nm Pentium Octal Core. (Please someone prove me wrong!)

from what iv read its only the cheap mobos that wont oc , but the good one will, "just like it is now".
