Also, i found out that the i7 in fact does NOT mean the apple i thing. It actually means "inspire". So basically, the i7 means inspire7.

so i guess the price of this cpu and the mobo to fit it on is gona be expensive. if it is then when it gets to my country lol when *cough 2010 most likely cough* it will be ridiculisly over priced as we get ripped off so buyin online would be an option dependin on exchange rate.

I think id stick with a new penryn atm and wait for the 32nm nehalem's in the future and wait for the market to settle

It's too early to tell for sure, but i'm sure most manufacturers will let you manually OC.

so when these chips drop.. what kind of performance comparison are we talking between the base sub-$300 nehalem vs the eleventy billion dollar QX top end chips? and what kind of price drops might you expect with the latter?

I was thinking about upgrading to this but I think I will wait until the shrink or sandy bridge.
